Mumbai : Independence Day celebration! A social gathering, we look forward to cheer our India’s freedom. Morning flag hoisting along with the patriotic songs running across everywhere to give the feeling of patriotism and vigorous support to our country, we get ready to rush to our societies or workplace celebration.

Getting dressed up for the national day celebration is not only limited to the dedication for country in these days, it is also about looking stunning among all and captivating people’s attention.

A white Kurta is what we must have in our wardrobe for this occasion. Now the question is how to style that kurta each year differently and look charismatic year after year.

White, color of peace and purity represents “the path of truth” in our Indian flag. The color represents a new beginning, to celebrate the freedom our leaders achieved in 1947. Though this year the celebration comes with double dose as Indians are delighted with the decision Modi Government has taken, removing article 370.

Wearing white always gives us challenges and also immense excitement, to look delightful and equally voguish at the same time.

White on white look: A classy look with highlighted any tri color stole/bindi/ shoes / accessory. Stunning Kurta paired up with the ankle length white trousers/ plasso/ skirt along with a stylized drape green/orange stole and a matching bindi to give a fusion of Indian and western mix.

Desi look: If the feeling is little desi, why not pair it up with calf length skirt and a contrast any tri color traditional dupatta. Skirt can be in any neutral shade and can give more importance to the side brocade/ chanderi silk dupatta. Accessorized it well with Traditional jhumka and a round bindi.

Khadi look: Paying attention to Gandhi’s Swadeshi movement, why not pair it up with a khadi jacket. Long/regular length jacket along with kurta won’t give a sassy look, to highlight the body curves a belt can be used to break the long length. An ankle length white palazzo/ cigarette pants can be used. This can be a neutral look to highlight the khadi, without any contrast tri color accessory. Tonal accessories can be used.

Dhoti look: Dhoti has always been in our history of costume. Independence day is the best day to highlight the theme ‘old is gold’. Dhoti or tulip pants can be paired up with our kurta along with big statement earrings to highlight the look. Contrast tri color can be used in bindi, matching it up with the mojri color.

White kurta is one classy Indian fashion which always works, it’s just that we need to keep updating that kurta with the current trend and we will keep getting the twisted, different and winsome look each time.

Happy white Independence Day! Keep adding colors to your wardrobe.
