Pune : Recently, the Chief Mentor of Fashion domain at Times & Trends Academy (TTA) Chandrakant Sonawane won the Best Costume Designer award for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus 'Padmaavat' movie, in a grand ceremony of Star Screen Awards held in Mumbai.

Sonawane a leading Costume Designer of Bollywood is not just the Chief Mentor for fashion design students but also a guiding pillar for Interior design students at 'TTA'. Sonawane has helped TTA’s Reverse Innovation Course which started with an aim to bridge the massive gap in the current Indian Education System.

To address this massive gap and to make students market ready, 'TTA' introduced 10 weeks comprehensive Reverse Innovation Programs for Interior Design & Fashion Design students.Due to this course, TTA’s students have brought laurels to the institute in the past and continue the same even in recent times. Students from fashion designing domain have been selected for various projects in the Film and Television industry.



Most of these opportunities for the students have been offered by TTA’s Chief Mentor and leading Bollywood Costume Designer Sonawane. He has done the costumes and styling for major Bollywood hits such as 'Padmaavat', 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Ram Leela', 'Bhoomi', etc. He recently designed costumes for a Marathi hit flick ‘Bucket List’ that starred Madhuri Dixit. 'TTA' is blessed to have Sonawane as their Chief Mentor.



Amit Agrawal, Founder, and Chairman of 'TTA' have mentored Chandrakant during his early career as a Fashion Design student. On this Students’ remarkable achievements, Agrawal said, “All these students are extraordinarily creative with the out-of-the-box thinking. We are really proud that our students have got a grand opportunity to prove their mettle. At 'TTA', we will continue to provide such platforms to students where their creativity will take them to places.
