“Untitled Sound Clip” : An Accepted short film in London film festival

Mumbai : 'The Untitled Sound Clip', directed by Girish Jambhalikar, poetically depicts the struggles of the contemporary generation (I generation) and their strength in accepting loss and rejection. The Untitled Sound Clip is selected in a renowned lift off film network in London for the first-time film maker column in July session and it will be available on Vimeo platform on lift off network channel from 22nd of July for the whole week. The festival is initiated by pinewood studios. 'Untitled Sound Clip' film is short listed in Kalaburgi short film festival in Karnataka Festival to be held during 20th and 21st July.    

'The Untitled Sound Clip' narrates the story of a young female sound designer, who is in search of a sparrow for the sound-recording. She is unable to capture the sound as the sparrows disappeared from the city. The story represents metaphorically a journey of a young female, who struggles to accept the loss of the loved ones. The sparrow is a metaphor for disappearance and loss. In a parallel plot, the mother of the young designer, who is artistically performed by Savita Prabhune, portrays the struggle of the senior generations in accepting the loss of the loved ones.

The film casts Shwetambari Ghute, who acted in Saavat Marathi and other south Indian films, Vitthal Kale, who is a known actor from Marathi Kaagar and Hollywood film Hotel Mumbai, Rohit Kokate, who acted in Marathi film Kaul Shruity Parkar, and Kiran Patil, Aakanksha Pingale, and Milind Gandhale in supporting roles. The film is produced by Geetanjali Arts and co-produced by Studio Rewire, Perfect Frames Media House, Glowing Neon, Abstract Reality Film Production and Brown Skiff.
