Shirdi : Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust will be celebrating 100th Punyatithi Mahotsav between 17th to 19th October 2018 and considering the expected huge rush of Sai Devotees on the occasion it has been decided to keep the Samadhi mandir open for darshan on the 18th October 2018. Rubal Agrawal, Chief Executive Officer of the Sansthan has appealed to the devotees to participate in large number at these celebrations and enhance the grandeur of the event.

Shrimati Agrawal said that, "Shri Saibaba laid his body at Shirdi 99 years ago at 2.35 pm on the day of Dasara. The day was Tuesday. In 1919 the first Punyatithi of Shri Saibaba was held according to the Tithi. Since then these celebrations have continued till today with utmost fervor and a new vigor. This Vijaya Dashami has achieved a new identity as Shri Saibaba Punyatithi. Shri Sai devotees in India and across the world celebrate this Festival."

"Shri Saibaba Samadhi is completing 100 years on the 18th October 2018 and on behalf of the Shri Saibaba Sansthan the Samadhi Centenary Celebrations are being conducted from first  October 2017 to 18th October 2018. In order that these celebrations should be on a magnificent level, various religious, cultural, social and awakening programs have been organized throughout the year. Accordingly 100th Shri Punyatitihi Mahotsav is being celebrated on the 18th October 2018. On this occasion various programs have been planned over a period of three days," added Agrawal.   

On the first day of the Celebrations, on 17th October 2018, Kakad Arti for Shri Saibaba will be held at 4.30 am, Photo and Pothi Procession at 5 am, Continuous reading of Shri Sai Saccharit at Dwarakamai from 5.15 am, bath for Shri Sai at 5.20 am followed by Darshan, Noon Arti at 12.30 Noon and Teerthprasad, Keertan between 4 to 6 pm at stage near Samadhi Temple, Dhuparti at 6.15 pm, Program by invited artists will be held between 7.30 pm to 10.15 pm. Palanquin procession will move through the city at 9.15 pm and Shejarati at 10.30 pm. As this is the first day of the Celebrations the Dwarakamai Mandir will be open for the entire night for continuous reading.            

18th October is the main day for Celebrations. On this day at 4.30 am, there will be Kakad arti for Shri, Continuous reading will end at five am with Shri Photo and Pothi Procession. Auspicious bath for Shri at 5.20 am followed by Darshan, Bhiksha Jholi program at 9 am, Keertan program at 10 am, Aaradhana Vidhi at 10.30 am, Noon arti at 12,30 Noon with Teerthprasad, Seemolanghan at 5 pm at Khandoba Temple and Procession, Dhuparti at 6.15 pm, Invited artists program between 7.30 and 10.30 pm, with Chariot Procession of Shri Saibaba through the city at 9.15 pm. With this as the main day of the celebrations the Samadhi Temple will be open for the entire night. Between 11 pm and 5 am next morning, various artists will perform before Shri Saibaba.

On the last Third day of the Celebrations Friday the 19th October 2018, auspicious bath for the Shri will be at 5,05 am followed by Darshan. Rudrabhishek Pooja will be held at Gurusthan Temple at 6.45 am. Gopalkala Keertan will be held at 10 am with Dahihandi program. Noon arti will be held at 12.10 noon with Teerthaprasad.Dhuparati will be held at 6.15 pm, and invited artists program will be held between 7.30 and 10.15 pm. Shejarati wil be held at 10.30 pm.

Under the guidance of Sansthan Chairman Dr. Suresh Haware, Vice Chairman Chandrashekhar Kadam, Chief Executive Officer Rubal Aagrawal and all the trustees officers namely Dhanajay Nikam and Manoj Ghode Patil, Dy. Collector, Deputy Executive officer Babasaheb Ghorpade,, all the administrative officers, heads of the departments and staff are working hard in order to make this auspicious occasion successful.
