‘What does a company look at while hiring an employee’, is the most common worry of management students. While addressing this question, Pillai said, ‘Today it is about employees possessing good entrepreneurial skills. If you have a feeling of ownership toward the organisation, it then reflects in all you do and helps you and the Company succeed.’

While guiding the students Pillai said, ‘Technology and financial matters are not completely under our control, but maintaining human relation is in your hands. This is important for success. Leadership is like nuclear energy. Albeit, nuclear energy has created miracles in many areas, but at the same time it can be fatal if used in a negative way. Same is the case with leadership.

Atul Kirloskar stated, ‘Data Analysis is the future of how businesses will operate. It will help create micro level precision to energise, stabilize and grow business. And our Institute is gearing up to meet these challenges.”

Apte said, ‘While working in any company, a leader should have the vision first and action next. Leadership is about the capacity of giving and ability to empower their colleagues. It is a real challenge to lead our own self, it is then the person becomes more successful. He further elaborated from personal experiences about noticing pitfalls & failures and learning the most from them. He advised students to discover their core in competencies rather than focus only on their competencies, to understand themselves better. He also said a good leader is one who builds a strong team, which can make his own job redundant.
