.........................................
The world is full of creativity and beauty. It only takes vision, time and inclination to find it. Personally I am a devotee of fine arts : an artist by choice and profession. Though I have never used a model for my portraits, my vision has served me well to carve out beautiful figures with powerful lines. As a caricaturist, my work is voluminous. Spot landscaping was never an attraction for me. My penchant engaged me entirely up to the year 2000, serving a dual propose by satisfying my satirical intellect and providing economic security.

Dnyanesh SonarLife is dynamic and changes inevitably. The wind of the technology ruffled over the colours of world of traditional art and painting. I too was the fascinated by the colourful world of Photoshop. The old veterans of the world of art declined computer as an outcast, but I was excited to experiment with this new vast area and with its unlimited horizons. I took my first step into this magical world with the help of some youngsters. The experience was interesting as well as mind boggling. Initially, I created a pencil sketch on paper, scan it to let the image appears on the screen in the photo shop software.

I then found the tools and colours to finish my painting to my satisfaction. A new amazing world had opened up. Unlike the traditional canvas, where one finds difficulty in making changes, here was a zone where I could literally play with colours and lines. My concentration is on figurative drawing, mostly beautiful women in different moods, forms and situations. I have even done abstract, modern as well as mythological works as per client’s requirements. Generally, a painting involves 10 to 12 days of steady hard work to give it a fine finish. God put the magic brush into my fingers. These paintings are the gift of the modern technology carrying many advantages along with them. Unlike traditional oil or water work on canvas, this computer output is in the form of a print which is available on canvas too and has a long life. Moreover it is economical and within the reach of many, as the number of copies need not to be restricted. Also the size of the painting can be reduced or enlarged as per individual taste and requirement. Lastly the image can be carried on a pen-drive and printed anywhere in the world, of course with the permission of the artist.

Before I wind up, I would like to appeal to the fastidious critics. Someone has rightly written, ‘Old is Gold’ – but one must remember that gold never gets old, it merely changes it forms and glitter with time and change of identity. One must move with the time and discard standard yardsticks for newer forms.

So, just give a look to my new book Different Strokes which is available in market as well as on internet.
